Jan 25 - 26 National Shag Dance Competition
The National Shag Dance Competition is more than just dancing, though. Shag dancing has developed an extremely loyal band of followers, which grows larger as the years go by. Shag dancing attracts a particular type of person, those who are free-spirited and generous.

St. Patricks Day Parade NMB
Come celebrate the 20th annual NMB Saint Patrick's Day Parade in downtown North Myrtle Beach. After the parade, stay and mingle through the street festival. There will be two stages of continuous musical entertainment throughout the day.

April 18 - 27 SOS Spring Safari
The Society of Stranders calls its thousands of active members to return to North Myrtle Beach in April for a big party. Days and nights are filled with activities, shagging and sightseeing. Eight clubs around the Ocean Drive section pitch in to make sure that every evening resounds with nonstop beach music
April 26 Dining with Friends
You’ll never have a better excuse to host a party! As part of the Annual Dining With Friends, hundreds throughout Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties will be hosting their own parties to benefit CARETEAM and the valuable work they do on behalf of those affected by HIV/AIDS in the Waccamaw area.

May 9 - 18 Myrtle Beach Bike Week
The Annual Spring Rally in Myrtle Beach promises to have something for everyone. What's not to like about Myrtle Beach, home of the Shag and Beach Music? But first, you want to make sure you arrive safely so that you can be in good shape to participate in all the fun! Here are a few "tips" to keep in mind when riding with a partner... and once you get there, a little common sense will help keep you and your prized vehicle... unharmed and out of "theft's way!"
May 17 - 18 Blue Crab Festival
The Blue Crab Festival is a combination of arts, crafts and of course, food. Not just seafood either; they cater to everyone by offering things like pizza and tenderloin in addition to the typical fare of finely prepared sea creatures. After eating, you and the crabs can dance the days away with live entertainment ranging from jazz to bluegrass to gospel.
May 23 -26 Atlantic Beach Bikefest
The Largest Bike Festival in the world. Over 300,000 participate in what has become a super bike event. Atlantic Bike Week is not only one of the largest bike festivals in the world but its also the largest week event period. Every Memorial Day Weekend ( May 23-May 26, 2008) over 350,000 bikers travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for fun, food, festivities and more.

June 5 - 9 Sun Fun Festival
The Annual Sun fun Festival is a “kid friendly“ event that kicks-off summer. It is a five day festival full of fun and exciting activities.
June 6 - 7 All Corvette Show
All Corvette Car Show. Friday night Welcome Party, Saturday Car Show, Beach Cruise and Awards Banquet.
June 14 Gone Fishing
A free fishing event for kids 15 and under on Father's Day weekend. Bass, bream, and catfish. Bring your own equipment or use ours. Pre Registration required at any City Rec Center. Lunch & prizes for all.
June 20 Sounds of Summer Concert Series
Enjoy a FREE evening with family and friends listening to live music, picnicking and playing in a safe environment. Concerts feature different bands playing family-friendly music. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, food and non-alcoholic beverages.

16th Annual July 4th Fireworks Display NMB

One of the biggest and best fireworks displays on the Grand Strand. The historic Cherry Grove Fishing Pier has been family owned since the 1960's. Free admission.

Independence Music Blast
Organization: La Belle Amie Vineyard
Time: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Wine tasting, vineyard tour (2:30), live music, great gift shop, and friendly folks....all at a beautiful venue. Admisssion- $8 (under 18 & over 80 free) Bring a lawn chair! Sorry, No Coolers or Pets allowed.

Jr. SOS
The largest gathering of young dancers in the world. Kids from 6 to 20 come together for a week of dancing and fun.
Location: N. Myrtle Beach, SC

National Father & Son Team Classic
Time: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
This national event has become the largest father and son golf competition in the world. The tournament is open to any father/son type relationship, including stepfathers/stepsons, grandfathers/grandsons, father/son (in-laws), and uncles/nephews.

Beach Sweep is the largest volunteer cleanup event of its kind. Thousands of participants will clear beaches of aquatic debris. So come lend a hand to make our beaches a better place! Please register by the day before.
